Megha CC trump Lumdiengjri in SCL

SHILLONG: Lumdiengjri SC were unable to do much damage with the ball as Megha CC rode on half-centuries from Pankaj (84 off 100 balls) and Ganesh (51 off 48 balls) to win by eight wickets in a First Division Cricket League match at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Thursday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Lumdiengjri were all out for a very good score of 191 in 31.2 overs. Pynkup Bonney made 40 runs, while Debashish took 3/27 for Megha CC in 6.2 overs.
In reply, the victors reached the target with eight wickets to spare in 33.4 overs. Sharailang took 1/28 in 6.4 overs.
The Second Division will begin on Friday with two matches. At 8:30am, Rilbong will take on Khalsha Warrior, while Laban SC play Red Pine at 12:00 noon.
