SHILLONG: The Indian National Billiards & Snooker Championship will commence on Friday in Lucknow, with the sub-junior snooker and billiards competition.
Meghalaya is represented for the first time, in this category, by 13-year-old Siddhaanth C Laitphlang.
The fixtures for the senior event will start on February 24 with the qualifiers in which another two participants from the state – Sharad Pradhan and Taufique Ali – will take part.
The winner of the Meghalaya Open Snooker Championship, Amarnath Sharma, and the runner-up, Bishan Limbu, have received direct entry into the main draw, which will begin on March 1.
