“Love thyself first” is the mantra which Bollywood bigwigs have conveyed to their fans on Valentine’s Day Friday. For some, this day of love holds no special importance, others have their own ways to make it special.
Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Arshad Warsi and Tisca Chopra have shared what the day means to them.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter:
Akshay Kumar: My wife and I are refusing to bow down to consumerism this year! Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean reach into your wallet, it means love your love.
Karan Johar: If you are single and don’t have a lover, then at least make sure you consume lots of calories today. Dessert for the deserted.
Richa Chadda: To all lovers, let everyday be Valentine’s (Day). To all singles, love thyself. For what you won’t have you can’t give.
Aditi Rao Hydari: Shouldn’t everyday be Valentine’s Day? Spread the love and stop draining your pockets only on one day of the year.
Jacqueline Fernandez: Happy Valentine’s Day! Make sure you do something super romantic today.
Arshad Warsi: Happy Valentine’s Day to all. Love is the answer to all question(s).
Tisca Chopra: To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance – Happy Valentine’s Day.
Sanjay Gupta: Happy Valentine’s Day guys…make sure you do something special for the special one in your life. Go make it special.
Jackky Bhagnani: Happy Valentine’s Day to all you lovely people out there. Have a super day with all the people you love. (IANS)
