SHILLONG: City police on Monday arrested one Sabysachi Pal Chowdhury for impersonating as a senior IPS officer.

Informing this, East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang said police also raided his house at Veronica Lane, Laitumkhrah and seized uniforms of IGP Rank officer, identity cards, cash and a vehicle with red beacon

According to Kharkrang, he was under the surveillance of police from a very long time.

Earlier, on November 11 last, the Shillong Cantonment Board sweeper identified as Subhash Chakraborty was arrested by the police for impersonating as an IPS officer. Police had also seized incriminating documents from his residence.
