Undefeated Reds to represent North East in Jamshedpur

SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC registered a 3-2 win over Green Valley FC at the Nehru Stadium Guwahati in the U-19 I-League North East Zone Qualifiers on Monday to remain undefeated in the tourney. The Reds will now represent the North East in the final phase of the Under-19 I-League to be held in Jamshedpur.

Nabin opened the account for the Reds in the 15th minute while Bipin Singh scored a brace with goals in the 51st and 57th minutes respectively.

Green Valley FC which has been struggling at the bottom of the table throughout the tournament managed to score two goals via penalties in the 60th and 71st minutes. Both were converted by Ridiwan Hajuary.

The Reds scored a total of 15 goals while conceding only five and end the U19 I-League Qualifiers North East Zone campaign with 18 points from 6 matches.
