Cyclone hits parts of West Khasi Hills

NONGSTOIN: Sudden rain accompanied by a cyclone on Wednesday night rendered many villagers homeless in some parts of West Khasi Hills.

Two areas, Lad Nongsbah and Nongsotin– were the worst affected due to the cyclone, according to reports.

The cyclone also resulted in snapping of electric wires. Several trees were uprooted.
