SHILLONG: The MeECL has come under fire during a hearing held on power tariff by the Meghalaya State Electricity Regulatory Commission (MSERC) on Wednesday.

The public affected by the power tariff also blamed the overall failure of MeECL which resulted in the present crisis.

They also wanted to know as to why MeECL set up the third unit of Leshka project when the original plan was only for two units.

Another question raised was on the failure of MeECL to provide the financial status when the trifurcation of MeECL was carried out.
