SHILLONG: The State BJP just before the Lok Sabha election has received a shot in the arm when a senior UDP leader from Mawryngkneng block David Kharsati joined the party along with his supporters.
BJP Meghalaya unit president Khlur Sing Lyngdoh on Saturday welcomed the new members into the party fold and urged them to work for ensuring the party’s victory in the Shillong seat in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections
Lyngdoh also said that the party would definitely win more than 272 seats in the Lok Sabha elections under the guidance of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Kharsati while addressing the gathering said rampant corruption prevailed in the country and BJP was the only party which would act against this menace.
