SHILLONG: The 13 pressure groups fighting for the implementation of ILP have expressed surprise over the delay on the part of the Government to call them for talks.

In a statement issued here on Tuesday, KSU general secretary Auguster Jyrwa said that though the pressure groups had sent a reminder to the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma two weeks back to have a meeting with him, there was no response from him.

The pressure groups demanded that the Government should immediately call them for talks on ILP.

The KSU has also decided to take out a procession on April 4, to commemorate the Khasi National Awakening Day.

The route and the timing of the procession would be announced later, the KSU leader said.
