No technical bid for legislative building construction
SHILLONG: KHADC CEM Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit said that the executive committee will issue a show cause to the contractor who is implementing the legislative building of the district council.
Replying to a suggestion made during the debate on the vote of account of the KHADC Basaiawmoit said that as per the available information, it seems that there was no technical bid for the construction of the legislative building neither were the terms and conditions followed.
Basaiawmoit also said that the executive committee will also examine the feasibility of establishing a branch office of the KHADC in districts under its jurisdiction. Earlier during the discussion on the vote on account, Langrin Congress MDC Manstudy Nongrem suggested on the need to seek funds from the 14th finance commission for the maintenance and expansion of the existing Council’s Legislative Building in Shillong.
