National seminar concludes

SHILLONG: A National seminar on constructing identity in the tribal literature and languages of India, organised by the department of Khasi, NEHU concluded on Friday.

Speaking at the valedictory function, Professor B Marboh, Vice Chancellor, NEHU said that diaspora and migration from outside poses a threat to the identity of the indigenous people.

He also urged participants of the seminar to organise more literacy activities and to produce good quality literature through which the identity of various ethnic groups can be reflected.
