Pala attacks BJP, others: Pala, meanwhile, said that the BJP and the other political parties have no plan or policy for the benefit of the people and their one and only aim is to defeat Congress party in the upcoming election.
While taking part in an election rally at Mawkyrwat, Pala also said that the BJP was against the growth and development of the people of the state “as it plans to do away with the reservation system which has so far been a useful tool in helping the weak and the poor stand up on their own feet and compete against the privileged few.”
Talking about his party’s agenda for the next five years, Pala said that Congress cared about the senior citizens and the youth equally and planned to implement several policies.
He also stressed on the importance of sports as a career option and added that the party plans to bring up several professional sports universities one of which will be built in Shillong especially for the youth of the North Eastern region.
