Itanagar: The BJP’s Arunachal unit on Thursday demanded deployment of Army personnel and sufficient paramilitary forces in the 34 polling centres on the day of re-polling on April 19, in view of ‘Talibanization’ regime of the ruling Congress in the state. Addressing newspersons here, state BJP president Tai Tagak said the people had a bitter experience in the recent simultaneous elections on April 9, where they witnessed pre and post poll violence ‘initiated by Congress party workers under the aegis of state government to gain political power’.
