SHILLONG: After blazing a trail through the North East Zone qualifiers, Shillong Lajong lost their first match of the U-19 I-League final round 2-1 to Sesa Football Academy in Jamshedpur on Monday.

The Lajong junior team won all six of their NE zone matches earlier in the year, but were brought back down to earth by the Goan side.

The junior Reds will play their next match on Wednesday against Hindustan FC at 4:00pm.

In the other matches on Monday, the AIFF Navi Mumbai Academy beat Hindustan FC 2-1, while East Bengal drew 0-0 with Tata Football Academy.
