JOWAI: The Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF), War Jaintia Region expressed concerned over the baseless allegations against its central body president by the Khliehtyrshi MDC and one Esterwis Ryngkhlem who is also the organising secretary of the Federation.

The MDC, MB Rymbai along with the JYF Organising Secretary lodged a complaint against the JYF president, Poipynhun Majaw for allegedly demanded Rs. 5 lakh from Rymbai.

“He (Ryngkhlem) is a black sheep within the Federation and we strongly condemn this act of his in trying to tarnish the image of the President”, a statement issued by the JYF War Jaintia Regional Secretary, Ialam G Syngkrem informed.

The JYF WJR stated that the clarification by Ryngkhlem in sections of media itself proved that the former JHADC CEM, MB Rymbai and Easterwis Ryngkhlem has tried to bribe the JYF President so that he should stop raising the issue of JHADC scam unearthed through an RTI.

“In his clarification, Ryngkhlem has admitted that Rymbai has offered the JYF President Rs. 6 lakh and the same was rejected”, the JYF WJR stated adding that it’s seem that Ryngkhlem himself has demanded the money from Rymbai not the JYF President.

The JYF-WJR further stated, “Surprisingly, the organising secretary for his own vested interest and on behest of the former JHADC CEM who has been arrested for threatening the JYF President is taking revenge against the JYF President and other members of the Federation”.
