Wine stores asked to close in time

JOWAI: The All Jaintia Youth Federation (AJYWO) has warned all wines store in East Jaintia Hills that they would take stern action against them if they failed to close down in time.

“We have found that some wines store have failed to stick with the time specified by the Excise Department as they remain open over time”, the AJYWO President, MH Dkhar said in a released.

The AJYWO chief also expressed deep concerned over the number of wines store in East Jaintia Hills which is a threat to the society.

The AJYWO urged the Excise Department in the District to keep a check on those wines store who failed to stick with the closing timing.

The AJYWO also informed that they will follow up the issue of all wines store along the National Highway with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH).
