SHILLONG: LAEF has warned three criminals for their nefarious activities in the name of the outfit.

LAEF self styled ‘commander in chief’ Riksrang G Momin in a statement issued to the media on Tuesday said that three persons — Prewas Marak from Mangsang, Dikki Momin from Dambo-Rongjeng and Jeckil Marak of Kharkutta — had extorted money from businessmen taking the name of LAEF.

According to LAEF, while Prewas had joined the outfit some days ago and left the organization along with a pistol, Jeckil Marak was involved in cattle smuggling two years ago. Jeckil had been earlier arrested by the police. LAEF warned that action would be taken against them if they misuse the name of the outfit.
