Assault
A woman lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on April 29 at around 2 pm, one Dean Alley Synnah entered her quarter at GAD Quarters at Nongrimmaw Block-A, Laitumkhrah , Shillong and eve teased her daughter. When her husband intervened, the accused assaulted him and he sustained injuries.
On April 29 at around 8 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted Michael Sohtun (28) at Mawlynrei (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.
On April 28 at around 11.30 pm, one Latmin Marak assaulted his wife at Oakland, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On April 27, one Bashankupar abused and assaulted one lady at Kyrdeng village under Umroi PIC (RB).
On the night of March 25 one Rubait Papang and his accomplices assaulted Heithmu Lyngdoh at Mookhap village (WJH). Victim sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS.
Theft
On April 30 at around 2 pm, three unknown miscreants in a vehicle (ML-05D-6307) stole cash Rs. 17,000 and two cell phones belonging to one Babilin Nadon, while members of World Vision were on sightseeing trip at Mawphlang Sacred Groves (EKH). In this connection, Police arrested two persons Skhemlang Lyngdoh Marshillong (18) and Babiangdor Khyriem (22).
Knocked down
On April 29 at around 3.45 pm, one motorcycle (ML-05F-1387) ridden by Sanded Hajong knocked down Banteilang L Mawphlang (13 yrs) at Polo, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On April 29 at around 8 pm, one vehicle (number not known) knocked down Posety Marak (22) at Golf Link, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
Rape attempt
On April 27 around 12 noon, one Bormi Lhuid attempted to rape one woman in her shop at Ialong village (WJH).
Duped
On April 26 at around 1.30 pm, one person introduced himself as Dines Roy, an agent for M/s Imperial Marketing, Paltan Bazar, Guwahati, supplied packets of 450 grams of Surf Excel detergent powder to the shopkeepers at Shyiap Langkyrding and other places. When the customers opened the packets they found salt instead of detergent powder.
Arrest
Police arrested Skansing Lyngkhoi (33) and Sivester Thabah (33) in relation to the use of poison in Iawron River at Phudumbah village (WKH) on April 26.
