Armed robbery

On May 7 at about 4.30 am, six dacoits armed with khukri and firearms, shot at Md. Abbas Ali (37 yrs) driver of a truck (AS-18C-3188) at Duragre Reserve under Rongjeng PS (EGH) and looted Rs. 22,000- from him.

Assault

* On May 7 around 3 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted Bahun Nongrum (30) and Sidora Kharkyrsian (30) and abandoned them at Butcher Road, Shillong. The injured persons have been admitted in hospital.

* E Mawrie lodged a complaint at Madanrting PS that on May 4 around 8 pm, one Evening Dkhar and others went to his house at Law-U-Sib, Shillong, indecently abused and assaulted him and also threatened his wife Matilda Kharbuki with dire consequences.

Murder

On May 6 around 2 am, unknown miscreants assaulted Prodish Nangbah near his residence at Mynkrem village (WJH) causing grievous injuries to him. He was shifted to PHC Nartiang, where the MO on duty declared him brought dead.

Domestic violence

Farida Bibi lodged a complaint at Phulbari PS that her husband Abdul Sheikh used to torture her mentally and physically and on May 5, he assaulted her at Chibinang (WGH). As a result, she sustained head injuries.

Theft

* Marshall Lyngdoh Mawphlang lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on May 5 around 10 pm, one Joe and two others went to his house at Lumshyiap, Nongmynsong and took away Rs. 16,000. In this connection, Police arrested Jefery Paswett (33), Kerilang Nongneng (23) and Jeremy Marbaniang (28).
