Roko Cancer suspends controversial official

TURA: Roko Cancer Charitable Trust has suspended its camp-in-charge of Garo Hills following allegations levelled on the official’s identity and his performance on the field.

The Roko Cancer official Anand Singh who had been deputed from the main office in New Delhi was placed under suspension on Wednesday itself.

“We have received a communication via e-mail from Director (India), Roko Cancer Charitable Trust, to the Meghalaya head of RCCT placing Mr Anand Singh under suspension,” informed Michael P Hmar, Manager of RCCT, Tura.

He added that the suspended official is no longer authorized to conduct any business, dealings, communication et al on behalf of Roko Cancer (RCCT).

“Whoever do so will be doing it on their own risk and Roko Cancer will not honor such business/dealings/communications etc. henceforth,” informed Mr Hmar.
