SHILLONG: UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh has suggested that KHADC CEM Ardent M Basaiawmoit should mobilize the Syiem and Rangbah Shnong of West and South West Khasi Hills to oppose the move of the Government to set up ANVC-B camp there.

“Instead of shedding his blood, I would like to suggest the KHADC CEM to use his constitutional discretion by holding a meeting of all the Syiem and Rangbah Shnong of West and South West Khasi Hills districts to oppose this decision of the Government to set up the ANVC-B camp,” Lyngdoh told newsmen here on Monday.

While appreciating Ardent’s stand that he was ready to shed his own blood to oppose the ANVC-B camp in Khasi Hills, Lyngdoh stated that his suggestion to Basaiawmoit was a better option rather than shedding his blood by “taking a platoon of the HSPDP to go on war with the ANVC-B cadres.”
