SHILLONG: The Rama Krishna Mission Higher Secondary School, Cherrapunji is once again rejoicing in happiness thanks to Sourav Pathak who brought laurels to the school by securing the 1st position in the SSLC examination. The principal of the school Swami Amite Shananda recalled that the school had often got positions but the school secured the 1st position after a span of twenty years.

“We had got the first position way back in the 80s and this is the third time when our students have secured first position,” Swami Amite Shananda said.

It may be mentioned that Sourav Pathak topped the merit list with 571 marks including letter marks in all six subjects. Reacting to a query about Sourav Pathak, Swami Amite Shananda said that he was a student of high caliber and has been studying in the school since Lower KG.

“We were expecting that he will be in the merit list but he surprised us all by topping the list,” he said.
