Ex-employer sues company

SHILLONG: One Josimuddin Ahmed has filed a suit amounting to Rs 1,38,18,080 against the officials of M/S Amrit Cement Industries Ltd.

In the suit, plaintiff Josimuddin Ahmed said that he was appointed as sales promoter of the company through agreement and in order to fulfill the basic requirement of the company, he had paid a sum of Rs 30,11,000 as a security deposit.

As per the suit, M/S Amrit Cement Industries Ltd., in July last year informed him over the phone that his services were terminated by the company since the company was not satisfied with his work and they did not even offer their willingness to refund the security deposit.

On the constant request of Ahmed, the company finally paid Rs 5 lakh against the total security deposit of Rs 30,11,000.
