SHILLONG: In a bizarre incident, a BSF personnel of 119 Battalion, Mawpat, Shillong has been allegedly sexually assaulted by his colleagues. According to police, the incident happened in the barrack toilet at Mawpat on Sunday around 2 am. The victim was taken to NEIGRIHMS for medical check-up. However, when contacted, an official from the BSF said that the complainant had gone missing from his BOP without permission.
“On Saturday his record of evidence was being carried out and we think he is making such allegations because he wants save himself from the serious offence which he has committed,” the official said. The official also said that the BSF would conduct an inquiry into the allegation.
BSF PRO Mahendra Singh refused to comment on the incident since he was out of station.
