Govt warns of ‘pay cut’

SHILLONG: Chief Secretary WMS Pariat on Wednesday said that in view of the ‘non-cooperation’ which has been announced by the GSU on June 12 and 13, all measures required to ensure normalcy in the districts of Garo Hills has been taken. “Government employees are expected to attend office punctually so that offices function normally,” a statement from the Chief Secretary said.

According to the Government, adverse notice in the form of no work no pay will be taken against officers and other employees who absent themselves from duties on the two days.
