Rape

A woman lodged a complaint at Pynursla police station that on June 10 at around 2 pm, one An Buhphang raped her twenty-two-year-old daughter at Pynursla (EKH). Police arrested the accused.

Drugs seized

On June 11, Police arrested Michael Kharkongor (38) and Bimal Chanda (28) from Long Range, Happy Valley Block-E, Shillong and seized two golden tobacco containers containing two grams of Heroin, a maruti car, a local taxi and one cell phone from their possession.

Accident case

On June 10 around 11 pm, one Maruti Alto car knocked down a seventy-year-old woman identified as Putul Chakraborty at Assam Rifles Bazar, Happy Valley, Shillong. The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong, by the driver of the Maruti Alto car who fled away after admitting her in the hospital.

Theft cases

On June 10 at around 12.35 pm, unknown miscreants stole one cell-phone from a Maruti car belonging to one Wompher Langbang which was parked near Secretariat Building, Shillong.

One Malcolm M Sangma lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on June 9, unknown miscreants stole cash Rs. 22,560 and two CCTV cameras valued around Rs. 1,20,985 from his shop near Parade Ground, Tura (WGH).

A woman identified as Monalisha Sarma lodged a complaint at Laban police station that on June 8, one unidentified miscreant sprayed capsicum powder on her and her daughter at Kench’s Trace, Shillong, and snatched away a gold chain.

Assault

On June 10 at around 6 pm, public assaulted one Robert Thabah at Mawlonghat, Shillong, for attempting to pick pocket. Victim sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Extortion

A woman identified as Ret Kurbah lodged a complaint at Umsning Outpost, Ri Bhoi district, that on June 9 at around 8 pm, one Comingstar Dohtdong introduced himself as a member of an NGO and demanded Rs. 4,000.
