SHILLONG: Police introduced new traffic regulations in Jowai starting from June 16 due to the traffic snarl and violation of rules. Police said that the new traffic regulation includes one way from Meghalaya Studio Junction to Chutwakhu Junction and from Madan Daimasi Ladthadlaboh junction to LIC office junction. There are two embarkation points, CNI junction and infront of Jowai PS for taxis going towards Ladthablaboh.
The two disembarkation points for local taxis and tourists cab coming from Shillong and Ladthadlaboh are at Jowai police station junction and at DC point.
Police also asked the drivers to follow traffic rules and warned legal action against violators.
