Consumer awareness programme held

JOWAI: A one-day Consumer Awareness Program was conducted at the District Library Auditorium, Jowai on Saturday. The program was organized by the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai which was attended by P S Dkhar, Deputy Commissioner & President District Forum, S S Syiemlieh, ADC, R Kharbihkhiew, MCS, GS Nongkhlaw, Deputy Director of Supply, West Jaintia Hills District, Dealers, Whole Sellers and others.

The Deputy Commissioner in his introductory speech said that the objective of organizing the awareness programme was to create awareness to dealers and wholesalers about their responsibility as distributors. He also requested the Supply Department to ensure proper supply of foodgrains by the Fair Price Shops. He advise
