Accident cases

On June 21 at around 4 am, one Maruti car (ML-05E-4621) driven by N. Mawlong dashed against a lamp post near NEEPCO, 4th Furlong, Shillong. As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was removed to CH Shillong.

On June 16 at around 6 am, one truck (AP-16TC-3269) driven by Mahendra Kumar collided with one dumper truck (ML-04B-7507) driven by Pynjanai Pale at Umtyra, NH-44 (EJH). As a result, Mahendra Kumar sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Khliehriat, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Gang rape attempt

On June 20 at around 5.30 pm, three persons, Khrawborlang Kharsohnoh (27), Koplang Khongrymmai (18) and a minor (16) abducted one 11-year-old girl from Jongksha village in East Khasi Hills and took her to a nearby jungle, where they attempted to rape her. Police arrested the accused.

Assault

On June 20 at around 2.15 pm, two persons, Bitto and Jerry assaulted Banjop Warjri (19) at Malki, Shillong, causing injuries to him. He was removed to Robert Hospital, Shillong.

On June 19, Police arrested four persons, Thadius Dkhar (30), Hambil Pakem (25), Silal Paslein (25) and Waikman Paslein (41), in connection with murder case under Saipung East Jaintia Hills.

Theft cases

On June 19, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-07A-0816) belonging to Crystal Momin from Bajengdoba Bazar, North Garo Hills.

One Ripen Singha lodged a complaint at Khliehriat police station that on June 18 at around 6.30 am, unknown miscreants broke into his workshop at Cheruphi in East Jaintia Hills and stole twenty-five batteries valued around Rs. 1,75,000.

Threat cases

A woman identified as Phah Sutnga lodged a complaint at Khliehriat police station that on June 19, her son Kristo Sutnga created nuisance and also threatened her and her family members with dire consequences at Umkiang in East Jaintia Hills.

On June 15 at about 3 pm, three persons, Loken Rabha, Akasi Rabha and Dewali Rabha assaulted Gripjoy Boro at Gufuapara (WGH) causing grievous injuries to him.

A woman identified as Omina Papang lodged a complaint at Jowai police station that on May 24, 2014, her husband, Eladmi Biam created nuisance and threatened her with dire consequences at Salini Colony, Jowai West Jaintia Hills .

One drowns

On June 14 at around 2.10 pm, Sukhi Daw drowned in Sardkha River at Moowakhu village in East Jaintia Hills.

Fraud

One Dinesh K. Singh lodged a complaint at Khliehriat police station that on June 6, while checking his balance of his SBI Khliehriat Branch account, he found the current balance at Rs. 60.61paise, which should have been Rs. 2,45,761.
