The long queue at the payment counter of MeECL at Jingkieng Nongthymmai is a daily affair. People spend at least an hour waiting to pay their electricity bills. When all other public utilities have made it easier for consumers by facilitating online payment this so-called Corporation continues to function like a decrepit government department.
