CM to inspect enrolment drive in Garo Hills

TURA: Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr. Mukul M. Sangma will be inspecting the enrolment drive under the Chief Minister’s Social Assistance Scheme for the infirm, widows and the disabled in the three blocks of Zikzak, Betasing and Selsella in Garo Hills on Tuesday, July 8.

The Chief Minister will be accompanied by the Director, Social Welfare Department, H M Shangpliang during the inspection where the bankers and medical teams will also be present.

It may be mentioned that the enrolment drive is being conducted in all the ICDS Project offices beginning from July 3, last and will continue up to July 16, next. The enrolment drives have received good response with many beneficiaries coming forward to apply for the scheme.

During his inspection in these three blocks, the Chief Minister is also likely to interact with the people particularly the beneficiaries of the scheme.
