SHILLONG: Police arrested two ASAK cadres, who had kidnapped the grocery shop owner Indra Narayan Prasad (40) in North Garo Hills recently.
According to police, the two cadres Jawan R Marak and Rejen R Marak were arrested from the house of one Mojendro B Marak at Dosingkol village under Mendipathar police station North Garo Hills on July 6 night.
During interrogation, the ASAK cadres confessed that they were the ones who had abducted Prasad from Kharkutta Bazaar on July 3. After he was abducted, the victim returned home safely on June 5 and as per the statement of the victim, he managed to escape from the clutches of the militants.
