Gaurav Bajaj lifts Tirot Sing Golf trophy

SHILLONG: The annual U Tirot Sing Golf tournament saw more than 55 enthusiasts compete for the Gross trophy at the picturesque Shillong Golf Course on July 17.

Gaurav Bajaj lifted the main trophy, which was held under the Gross format.

The event was played over 18 holes with a staggered start.

The weather was perfect for golf in the two-day competition.

The prize distribution ceremony was held in the presence of MLAs AL Hek and David Nongrum, former Speaker Charles Pyngrope and PJP Hanaman DGP.

The day commenced with a golf coaching camp sponsored by the Shillong Golfers Association with support from a monthly magazine.

Praduman Singh Guleria, an IGU certified coach, will give coaching to existing and new golfers at the camp.

Hek inaugurated the coaching camp along with Charles Pyngrope.

13-18 handicap

Winner Gross: Yadvendra Singh

19-24 handicap

Winner Nett: Ranjan Kumar

Runner-up Nett: Mahendra Singh
