Assault

On July  28 at about 1.30 am, unidentified masked miscreants armed with daggers entered the house of Kishore Kr. Singh (47 yrs) at Mawdiangum, Nongpoh (RB), assaulted him and his wife Ranjana Singh (41 yrs) and looted unspecified amount of cash from them. Victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Nongpoh and later referred to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On July 27 at around 1.50 am, one Shanbor Pohchen (23 yrs) was assaulted by the Headman and residents of Nongthymmai, Shillong for creating nuisance under the influence of alcohol. As a result, he sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
On July 26 at around 7 am, unknown miscreants assaulted one Md. Sawir Alam (36 yrs) at Polo Bazar, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
On July 26 at about 10.40 pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Mac Donald Khardewsaw at Mawlonghat, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
Linkubirth S Sangma of Rongkhon Megonggre (WGH) lodged a complaint at Tura Women PS that on July 23 at around 6.30 am, one Chijng Marak assaulted his daughter Salsime S Sangma.
Suspected drugs seized
On July 26 at about 1 pm, Police arrested two persons, Peter Nongkynrih and  Ajay Thapa from Rilbong, Shillong and seized eleven packets of orange powder suspected to be Heroin, seven syringes, one cell phone and cash Rs. 1,150  from their possession.

Theft

On July 25 at around 11.30 am, one Aiborshai Nongsiej stole cash Rs. 8,700 from the residence of Beksto Marbaniang at Lyngngai Sohiong (EKH).
Sweeting Siangbood lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on July 25, one Dame Chyrmang broke into her house at Salaroh Jowai (WJH) and stole her belongings including pass book and cash Rs. 34,000.

Truck seized

On July 25 at around 8 pm, Police detected one coal laden truck (ML-10A-8784) driven by one Tailin Kyrsiang (23 yrs) at Umjei Junction (WKH).
On July 25 at around 8.20 pm, Police detected one coal laden truck (AS-01EC-1096) driven by one Lambert Kharkylliang (26 yrs) at Umjei Junction (WKH).
On July 24, Police detected one coal laden truck (AS-01FC-1211) at Nongspung village (EKH) and arrested three persons, Welkhar Thangmaw (42), Headstar Dohtdong (30) and Malinguis Sungoh (50 yrs).

Arson

On July 23 around 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants set on fire one motorcycle belonging to Md. Asif Ali at Demseiniong, Shillong.

Threat

Witherson B Marak lodged a complaint at Tikrikilla PS that on July 16 at around 4 pm, one Rikrak B Marak went to his residence at Upper Joyranggre village (WGH), demanded Rs. 3 lakh from him and threatened him with dire consequences.

Abduction

Police arrested four persons Tilip Marak, Nikseng Momin, Simseng Marak and Misbell R Marak, in connection with a kidnapping & abduction case under Tura PS.
