Assault

On the afternoon July 28, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Rohit Pradhan Pariat with iron rods at Lachumiere, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Shillong.

NGT ban violation

On July 27, during vehicle checking at Nongstoin-Shillong road, West Khasi Hills, Police detected two coal laden trucks (AS-01FC-4665) driven by Moonlet Sunn and (AS-01FC-4765) driven by Jin Sangma. Police arrested both the drivers.

lOn July 25 at about 11.30 pm, during mobile patrolling at Rymbai Road (EJH), Police intercepted two coal laden trucks (ML-04-9349) driven by Nes Nongtdu and (ML-04A-9021) driven by Sooki Suiam, while they were illegally transporting coal to Lumshnong Cement Plants.

Theft

On July 24 at around 2 am, unknown miscreants stole 24 batteries valued around Rs. 3,60,000 from Aircel mobile tower at Mukhep village (EJH).

lOn July 23 at around 2 am, unknown miscreants stole one water pump valued around Rs. 60,000- belonging to one Kialmon Lamare from Kongong village (EJH).

Accidents

On July 28 at around 8.40 am, one truck (number not known) dashed against one tourist cab (ML-05-5348) at Sohra in East Khasi Hills. As a result, two occupants of the tourist cab sustained injuries and were removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

lOn July 28 at around 6.50 pm, one Maruti Alto (ML-04A-9495) driven by Papu Paswan dashed against an electric pole at Nongmynsong. As a result, the driver and one occupant sustained injuries and were admitted at NEIGRIHMS Mawdiangdiang.
