TURA: As a part of the Chief Minister’s Career Guidance Scheme, the district administration of West Garo Hills organized a career guidance, career mapping and counselling programme here on Wednesday at SMELC Building, Dakopgre, Tura.

In his motivational talk on ‘Vision for Garo Hills Youth and Career Avenues’ to higher secondary students, teachers and other stakeholders, Chief Minister Mukul M. He added that the government is committed to the cause of education and therefore there has been a paradigm shift in the allocation of funds and setting up of priorities.

He also informed that schools and educational institutions willing to set up nurseries will be provided financial assistance by the government.

Earlier the Chief Minister awarded the Pioneer of Education Award to Fr. Jonny, Principal, Don Bosco College, Tura, Tyrone D Brass, Headmaster, Sherwood Secondary School, Tura and Sane C.B. Sangma, Headmistress, Aeroville Secondary School, Tura, for being the most successful and innovative heads of institutions and for their outstanding contribution in the field of education.
