Hike in weighbridge fees

SHILLONG: The Cabinet on Friday decided to hike the weighbridge fees in the State.

Speaking to media persons after the Cabinet decision, Transport Minister HDR Lyngdoh said that the last enhancement in the fees was done in 2009 and the decision has been taken to increase the revenue collection. With the approval, the fees for Light Motor Vehicle would be Rs 100, Rs 150 for medium goods vehicle and Rs 200 for heavy goods vehicle.
