NGT ban violation

On July 31 around 11.30 am, Police detected one truck (ML-04B-0874) belonging to Md. Sahim Ahmed and driven by one T Pohchen, transporting coal in violation of NGT ban.

Woman found

On August 6 around 8 am, one Deilang Basan (31) was found lying near Civil Hospital, Shillong. She was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Hit-and-run

On August 5 around 6.30 pm, one scooter (number not known) knocked down two persons Phultara Mawlong (35) and Charles Dkhar (37) at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong. Victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Vehicle found

On August 5 around 4.45 pm, one Tata Indica car (ML-04-7253) was found abandoned at Mawlai Phudmuri, Shillong. The vehicle was towed to Mawlai police station for safe custody.

Assault

On August 5 at about 9 am, one Niwa Pale assaulted Melington Pale at Jowai (WJH). As a result, the victim sustained head injuries.

Phransungi B Marak lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on August 4 at about 5 pm, one Tengsilchi Ch. Marak and her niece Terim S Sangma assaulted his daughter Ayline B Marak and threatened her with dire consequences at Dobasipara junction, Tura (WGH).
