Dorbar ban

The Executive Committee of the Dorbar Shnong Nongkhyriem, Nongthymmai, Shillong has banned exhibition of posters, banners and advertisement hoardings of any size or kind on walls, electric and telephone posts and along the roads and lanes within the jurisdiction of the Dorbar Shnong, without the Dorbar’s consent.

Notification

The Meghalaya State Waqf Board has removed Md. Sulaiman from the office of the Mutawalli of Waqf Estate and has assumed direct management of the Estate following a gazette notification.

Condemnation

Meghalaya Rural Bank Officers’ Organisation has condemned the brutal murder of Syrpailut Khonglam, branch manager of the bank’s looksi branch and has demanded full investigation into the incident to find out the motive behind the murder.

SC order

The Supreme Court has ordered for maintenance of status quo in the matter of case of Holding No. 3, Ward No. 17 at GS Road, Bara Bazar, Shillong.

Peace rally

In view of the prevailing volatile situation in Garo Hills region, GSU Tikrikilla Unit along with Balgito Socio-cultural Society is organising a peace rally on Sept 15 to lend their voice in an attempt to bring peace and forge amity among various communities in Garo Hills region.

The Meghalaya College Non-teaching Employees’ Association of 15 deficit colleges of Meghalaya will celebrate its silver jubilee on September 13 at St. Anthony’s College Auditorium at 12.30 pm.
