SHILLONG: The ANVC-B has accused the ANVC, its parent outfit, of breaking the ceasefire agreement by recruiting one Tangcha Sangma, who was not a listed member of the ANVC.

In a letter addressed to S.K. Jain, ADG Special Branch, ANVC-B leader Rimpu Marak claimed that

Tangcha Sangma is none other than Rudy Pangsang Sangma of Tura who had attended a meeting in Shillong in the guise of a photographer and was responsible for revealing the plots and plans of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma and ANVC leaders to annihilate the ANVC-B cadres before the final settlement.

Rimpu also claimed that the Chief Minister made a deal with ANVC leaders that after the signing of the peace pact he would form an interim government in GHADC with the existing Congress MDCs who are presently running the extended six months term in the Council.

“There are 22 Congress MDCs (including one nominated) in the present EC. Mukul plans to nominate seven from ANVC and one for ANVC-B making the ANVC into a minority group while Congress will enjoy majority position in the Executive Committee,” Rimpu further claimed in his letter.
