Chess event concludes

SHILLONG: The 3rd All Shillong Nirendra Kumar Roy Memorial School and Higher Secondary level chess competition organised by the Zenith Jubelieth Club, Laban at the club premises concluded recently. As many as 45 students participated in the event.

The games were conducted in FIDE Swiss league in four and six rounds under the supervision of General Secretary of Meghalaya Chess Association, TH B Singh who was the Chief Arbiter. He was assisted by K Pajat as Deputy Arbiter.

In group Pawn, Shouvik Ghosh secured the 1st position scoring 4 points. Bobby Lyngdoh topped group knight scoring five and a half points.
