SHILLONG: Seven teenage pupils of the city-based boarding school — Belmont Secondary School — have reportedly gone ‘missing’ since Thursday morning.

Confirming this, East Khasi Hills police chief M Kharkrang said that the boarders had gone on their own. He ruled out possibility of outsiders luring them.

Admitting that “something has happened in the school”, he said that police are investigating the matter.
