Literacy Day

The Office of the State Project Director, SEMAM (SSA) and Education department will observe World Literacy Day on Sept 8 at St. Paul H.S. School, Marbisu.

Piskot fest

The State Institute of Rural Development in collaboration with the Integrated Basin Development and Livelihood Programme will organize the Piskot Festival on September 10 at All Saint’s Cathedral Hall from 10 am onwards.

Debate

Women’s College Shillong will organize the 10th Mrs. F.I. Hussian Memorial Inter College Debate Competition on September 6 at 1 pm. The motion of the debate will be “Social Networking is a bane of our present society”.

Film screening

The Asian Confluence is organising a premier screening of Flowing Sanctity, a documentary on the ancient kingdom of Laur and the Pana Teertha (The pilgrimage of promise) by Niranjan Dev, Film maker from Bangladesh, on September 6 at 6.30 pm at the Asian Confluence Centre, Lady Veronica Lane, Laitumkhrah.
