SHILLONG: World Heart Day was observed by NCC Cadets of Shillong Group. A function was organized at NCC HRD Hall on Sept 29, in which 8 Officers, 10 Permanent Instructor Staff and approximately 60 selected cadets from various institutions in and around Shillong participated.
World Heart Day has been instituted in the year 2000 by World Heart Organisation. The aim of observing this day is to create awareness among the public on the importance of health of the heart and prevention of cardio-vascular diseases.
