SHILLONG:  A 5 aside football tournament was held at St. Anthony’s Stadium from October 2  to 4 by Kripa Foundation.
The tournament saw the participation of 40 teams  during this festive period.  There were two categories which was the under 18 and the open category.  This was Kripa Foundation’s first football tournament with the theme called “Kick It Out”. The idea was to specifically channel possible negative energy into constructive use. There has been a lot of cases whereby kids nowadays have tried or are indulged in substances that are harmful for the body. Hence,  to create an awareness on the current problems, the Kripa wanted students and adults to use sports as a mean to “kick out” bad habits.   Kripa Foundation thanked  Nigel and Kifah,  Royal Wahingdoh F.C and Kiddies Corner for their  support in making the event a success. .
Winners of the U-18 category: Army Public School
Winners of the Open Category: Nangtei F.C. Umiam.
