NONGPOH: Peeved with the adamant attitude of the State Government in realizing their demands, members of the District Select Committee under the banner of Ri-Bhoi District Selection Committee Passed Candidate Association (RBDSCPCA) sat on an indefinite hunger strike at MUDA Urban Shopping Complex, Nongpoh, on Tuesday.

The RBDSCPCA began their hunger strike after the State Government failed to pay heed to their demand for extension of their validity for another three month to accommodate the remaining 17 DSC-passed candidates in vacant posts of chowkidars and helpers in different department in the district.
