Mass awareness prog on water conservation concludes in Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN: A two-day mass awareness programme based on the theme ‘Save Water Save Earth’ organized by the Department of Water Resources and the Meghalaya Water Resources Development Agency together with the Central Soil and Materials Research Station, New Delhi, concluded here on Wednesday with Deputy Chief Minister in charge Water Resources Department, Rowell Lyngdoh, gracing the concluding function.

The function was also attended by Nongstoin legislator Hoping Stone Lyngdoh, Director, Central Soil and Materials Research Station, New Delhi, Murari Ratnam, Scientists from CSMRS, Pankaj Sharma and S.L. Gupta, Chief Engineer, Water Resources, Nongstoin, P. Lyngwa and Executive Engineer, Water Resources, Nongstoin, L. Sooting, besides school student, teachers and others.

Quiz competition, painting and water race competition were organized on the day and prizes were distributed to the winner and participants.
