SHILLONG: A Police team assisted by BSF and VDP members rescued a person who was abducted from Noasora in South West Khasi Hills.
The victim, Numberson M Sangma was kidnapped on October 18. Subsequently, acting on inputs on the night of October 20, a Police team assisted by BSF men and VDP members conducted a search operation at Noarsora and intercepted the abductors who on seeing the cops fled away under the cover of darkness leaving Sangma behind.
