Fraud

Donus Siangshai lodged a complaint at Khliehriat PS that four persons Kishan Pareek, Sukhvinder Singh, Gurpratap Singh and Hardev Singh cheated him of Rs. 95 lakh since October 25, 2013 which is the balance installment to be paid for the 12 heavy commercial vehicles which they bought on installment from the complainant on September 16, 2013.

Robbery

On October 22 at around 3 am, unidentified miscreants (5/6) in a local taxi (number not known) robbed Rs. 34,000 from the driver of one Silchar bound rice laden truck (AS-11-BC-0985) at Mawkhanu Shillong By-pass (EKH).

Theft

Padam Bahadur Mall lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on October 21, unknown miscreants broke into his residence at 101 Area, Upper Shillong and stole cash Rs. 1,500 , cell-phone and ATM Card, etc.

Mitson Marak lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on October 20 at around 1.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 40,000 – (MGNRES labour payment money) from his residence at Waribok village (WGH).

Rachel M Nongdhar lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on October 7, unknown miscreants stole one laptop computer from the Office of the Meghalaya Divisional Aids Control Society, Oakland, Shillong.

Accident

On October 21 at around 10.15 pm, one unknown vehicle dashed against one motorcycle (ML-05J-3601) ridden by Khraw Diengdoh (22) at Nongmynsong Lailad, Shillong. As a result, the rider sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong.

On October 20 at around 8.40 am, one truck (AS-01-FC-7491) driven by Satrugan Prasad knocked down Barnabas Nongrum at Umsaw Nongkharai (RB). Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS.

Assault

On October 19 at around 5 pm, one Prot Chyrmang assaulted Loot Dkhar at Jalaphet Lumsahshram (EJH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Jowai.

George Arthur Warjri lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on October 15, he came to know through social media that unidentified persons assaulted and molested his daughter at a public place in Shillong.

Fake certificate

I. Majaw, , Additional DC, East Khasi Hills lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that between October 1 and 17, 2014 one Kasab Rana Bhatt submitted a fake birth certificate at DC Office, Shillong.

Molestation

On October 17 at around 7.30 am, one Alias Koi sexually assaulted and threatened one 30-year-old lady at Jalyiah (EJH) and also robbed her of Rs. 5,000.

Hit and run cases

One K B Sunar (60) sustained injuries after he was hit by a motorbike on Wednesday at around 7.43 while he was walking on the side of the road at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Shillong helped in shifting Sunar to Shillong Civil Hospital. The incident happened on October 22.

In a similar case, one Kularskhem Lyngdoh (16) was hit by a vehicle while he was walking by the side of the road at Kynton Massar in Mawlai on Wednesday. He was shifted to Dr. Gordon H. Robert Hospital, Shillong.

One knocked down

On October 23 around 10.30 am, one Tata Indica car (AS-14B-4246) driven by Ashok Thapa (28 yrs) knocked down one minor boy Sunil Sheikh (6 yrs) at Saw Lad, Madanrting, Shillong causing injuries to him.

On October 23 at around 11 am, one scooter (ML-04A-4851) ridden by Joyful Susngi (22) knocked down one minor girl Amrita Kumari (14 yrs) near at Pynthorbah, Shillong causing injuries to her.

Minors molested

Banraplang Marbaniang of Nongthymmai Lumiablot, Shillong lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on October 17, one Rilang Suting (24) sexually assaulted her two minor daughters aged seven and eight years respectively. Police arrested the accused.

Fraud

Deepak Kumar Thakur of Additonal Secretariat Compound, Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on October 17 at around 4 pm, unknown miscreants withdrew Rs. 21,500 from his account.
