Outreach programme

The NCC unit of St Anthony’s College visited the underdeveloped parts of Anjali area on the occasion of Diwali as part of the annual outreach programme. A team of 39 cadets under the leadership of JUO Zaukhumgam Singpho took the initiative and distributed various stationeries. Nearly 150 children were benefited from the programme.

Cleaning drive

As part of the Clean India Campaign, R&R Colony Welfare Society organized a cleaning drive in the colony recently. Senior citizens, ladies and youths took part in the cleaning drive. It was also resolved that the locality would conduct the next cleaning drive before Christmas.

Office bearers

The Seng Kynthei and Seng Samla Dong Umsohsun have elected new office bearers for the period 2014-2017.

Harvest fest

The Tedim Chin Students Association (TCSA), a student’s association comprising of members mostly from Manipur held the KHUADO PAWI-2014 (Harvest Festival-cum-the 9th TCSA Conference) on Thursday at Parish Hall, Nongshilliang.

Literary award

The Raid Laban Sports, Social and Cultural Organisation will organise the 11th literary award on October 25, at 11 am at U Soso Tham Auditorium. Sikkim Manipal University Director, G Jain will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Lifestyle management

The Shillong College Alumni Association in collaboration with the Health Care Committee of the College will organize a popular talk on “Lifestyle management, a pathway for a healthy life” at the Shillong College conference hall at 1 pm on Saturday. Senior Medical and Health Officer, Shillong Civil Hospital, Dr Laldin Puia and Shillong Civil Hospital dietician, Tracy Hek will the resource persons on the occasion.
